"Blood Tests - Pathology"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services / General medicine

(as the patient),

I experienced absolute chaos at the Pathology department. I had pre-booked an appointment, but was still advised to 'take a number' and wait the 40 minute expected queue time.

I was lead into a tiny cubicle, where a man was already seated having his blood taken. I was asked to sit next to the gentleman, another patient, and recite my full name, date of birth and address with complete dis-regard to any patient confidentiality.

Apparently this NHS trust thinks its acceptable to 'bleed' two patients at a time, (also regardless of sex) in the smallest of spaces with no confidentially or privacy.
