I went to Specsavers opticians recently to get new glasses, which was all fine.
I then remembered about my hearing aids. I need hearing aids as they really help day-to-day; I can hear a little bit when I wear them, like the TV and the doorbell. I lost my hearing aids 2 years ago and when I tried to replace them I was told I had to pay £70, which I was surprised about – is this linked to government cuts?
I’m not working so I just gave up & left it. I am profoundly Deaf – not hard of hearing. I have been Deaf all my life and this should be part of my treatment and I should not need to pay for hearing aids.
