What I liked

I found the Junior Doctors caring and the Porters were friendly.

I found the food to be of an good standard.

Regular cleaners.

Frequent offers of teas/coffee's

What could be improved

The night staff treating patients with the dignity and care that they deserve-acting very abruptly to patients they took a dislike too.

Talking and discussing patients loud enough for the ward to hear-saying not very nice things about patients.

Anything else?

I was left traumatised, the iv morphine and iv cyclizine leaked out of cansten due to accidently a few hours previous cansten coming lose of vein by accidently come half off when rolling over in bed.

Anyhow I was in a lot of pain and felt very sick I will admit before I realised that there was an leakage I regretfully said and asked if what they had given me was an placebo-big mistake i have ever made-suddenly three nurses came into my room screaming at me,being really nasty and sarcastic and left me to it,At this point I was very afraid,in a lot of pain,feeling very sick, i then realised that my bed sheets and my trousers were soaked,then realising the cansten was leaking.I then buzzed to explain and to apologise and when nurse came to switch off bell,she said we want nothing to do with you.20 minutes later I buzzed again-same nurse came in to switch buzzer off and said we want nothing to do with you-I begged to speak to the nurse i had accused previously to appologise and was told she did not want to see me.I was then left for three hours crying &having a severe panic attack and having problems breathing due to having an panic attack.Three hours later Doctor came to asses me, I tried to explain all that had happened,he was not one bit interested and wanted to know whether to keep me there 4 another night, I then said i was not in any pain and wanted to go home-two hours later I went home by Taxi in alot of pain-As soon as I got home I curled up in the foteus position and cried till i fell asleep-all this happened 02/02/2010,im still in alot of pain but luckily i have painkillers at home.My worst fear is that in three months time I will have to go back and go to same ward to have an operation-key hole surgery to have my stent out which is connected from right kidney to bladder.I am so afraid of going back there that I am suffering with terrible anxiety attacks-malicious nightmares-I will not complain because nurses back each other up& I doubt this will be published
