My dear father has severe ASBESTOSIS. Every step has him gasping for breath. I realise parking is hard for everyone at kings mill, BUT imagine my disgust as I had to park in Morrisons car park and walk with my dad, who was gasping for breath every step.. it took us 45 mins to walk from Morrisons to Kinds Mill reception..and then I WALK PAST A STAFF NURSE CAR I KNOW PARKED IN A BLUE DISABLED BADGE HOLDERS SPACE! I am absolutely disgusted. Disabled spaces are for very disabled people. Not to be used by STAFF, a nurse at that, that should know better. You should be ashamed Kings Mill Hospital. Car reg and Nurses name available if required!!!!!!

Thank you for your comments. As you are aware the hospital is currently undergoing major construction work and as such parking at times is difficult. We can assure you this will improve once the building work is complete. We are very sorry that you had to walk from Morrisons with your father and that a member of staff had parked inappropriately. We have informed our Car park and Security team who will endeavour to ensure that staff park in the correct areas. We would welcome any information you may have to identify the staff member concerned to enable us to follow this up. We would also like to offer assistance for future attendances, we may be able to arrange for a member of staff to meet you at the entrance so that you could drop your father off at the entrance whilst you park your vehicle. Please call our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01623 672222 who will be happy to take further details regarding the staff member and who can also help with your fathers visits.
