"Wishaw General Hospital"

(as a parent/guardian),

My baby son, 3 months old took unwell with Bronchilitis, I was sent by my GP to the hospital to get him checked by the paediatric doctor. We were seen quickly and the service was excellent. Staff was lovely as well, but I wish smoking was not allowed at the main entrance.

Dear NMAO,

Thank you for taking the time to correspond with us. I am glad to hear that your son was seen quickly and that the staff provided a high level of service to your family. I will ensure your comments are passed on to staff.

The issue of smoking is one we take seriously and you will notice new additional signage around the hospital grounds. NHS Lanarkshire promotes a no smoking policy within the hospital grounds. Whilst not everyone responds to that position we will continue to encourage people who smoke not to do so near the hospital.

Regards

Jim
