"My stay in North Devon District Hospital, Barnstaple"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency North Devon District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was airlifted to the hospital from Tintagel having fallen down a gully and broken my leg. I was in Barnstaple from Monday through to Thursday.

The various professionals I came into contact with were all outstanding. I have to give especial praise to the staff of Capener Ward, especially Charlie (day team) and Shelley and Kate (night team) who all dealt with me sympathetically, professionally and with good humour.

It made the stay so much more bearable and all of the staff on the ward are to be commended for their outstanding care and patience.

Dear Patient

I was very sorry to see you sufferred a fractured leg whilst out walking, it must have been a very worrying time having to be airlifted to North Devon District Hospital., and would like to thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on the website.

Its very pleasing to note you recieved such good care whilst on Caperner ward as an in-patient, and I have shared your comments with the ward manager where they will be very warmly recieved and shared with the staff and indivduals concerned.

Many thanks
