(as a service user),

I really enjoy the art group all the time and don't want this service to stop. I get to see and keep in touch with the people who use this service. The group is a lot of fun. We have a good laugh and a good chat. I am welcomed with open arms. I get a helping hand when I need it and use of materials that are available.

I would be happy to go into the library when there's not enough room for us all in the art room. The art group is very popular. It would be nice to have relaxing music playing in background to keep me nice and calm.

I would like to have one member of my support team to join in helping me to make cards.

I feel very happy when I am making my cards and I get a lot of enjoyment out of giving my cards to my friends and staff.

Dear Courtney, thank you for your comments regarding the Art Group. I am very pleased that this activity is something you enjoy.

We have recently had a high number of people wishing to join the Art Group therefore on the day if it is oversubscribed we can now make use of the library area providing we undertake the less "messy" tasks in that area.

Your idea of having music in the back ground is a good one, and I will pass this idea onto the Activity Co-ordinator to discuss with you and others at our weekly News n Views meeting.

Your comment about a staff member supporting you to make a card - if you can discuss this with the Team Leader initially as they will be required to check the the working rota to free up your support worker.

An update for  you.

I have passed on your request to have music in the Art Group when you attend. Please prompt those facilitating the group if you wish the music on these days, albeit other people in attendance will have to be asked as well.

I am sure everyone will agree with your suggestion.
