"Removal of finger lesion"

About: Derriford Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had elective surgery for removal of a pyogenic granuloma to my right index finger. The wait was approx two hours but that's understandable when they have emergencies as well.

I had a local anaesthetic and the two theatres nurses, registrar & SHO were top class. They reassured me throughout, spoke to me and told me what was going on. Other than the ring block/local anaesthetic I was pain free throughout.

Being a student healthcare professional myself I wanted the team to know that although it was a minor op to them it meant a lot to me how well I was treated and looked after. I don't think anything could have been done better!

I hope it's possible to let the people involved know how impressed I was.
