"Waiting times for out patients"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics Tameside General Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

My GP referred me to Tameside urology dept Dec8th. I contacted appts 3 times and each time was told extra clinics needed to be set up

I finally received an appt for May 11th, I wonder what happened to the 18wk maximum?

I was also referred at the same time to orthopaedics, had an appt on March17th and was referred on for physiotherapy which I received May 12th.

A five month wait for any treatment is totally unacceptable

We are really sorry you have had cause to raise this. It is difficult to comment without having the specific details why there was a delay. Can I ask you contact the Pals and Complaints department on 0161 922 4466 or email Palsandcomplaints@tgh.nhs.uk so this can be looked into in more detail.

We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed.
