I received a letter stating that i needed further tests needed & i had an appointment made for the Pilgrim Hospital to talk to a specialist screening practitioner in 2 weeks about my health & investigation for a colonoscopy. I was a bit anxious but very impressed how quick I was dealt with & how very friendly and professional the staff was. I was very relaxed & more knowledgeable after this appointment.
I was then made an appointment for the colonoscopy to be done the following week & was given everything i needed ie medication to take before hand , leaflets explaining procedure, leaflets how to take medication & leaflets what to eat. I was made to feel relaxed & positive about the procedure.
The following week went for my procedure, i was greeted & welcomed, i was called in earlier than my appointment. The staff then confirmed everything, i was then given a gown to change into & taken to a bed & covered respectfully. The staff then prepared me & within minutes I was taken in to have my procedure, all the staff al spoke to me & made me very relaxed & made me laugh.
After I was taken to a ward where I was looked after. When I was able they gave me water & then when I could get dressed again they gave me a cup of tea & biscuits.
I am so impressed with the whole procedure, how i was looked after & how all the staff was so friendly & kept with me all the time. I am so impressed with the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston. Thank you to all of you.
