"My son's visit to A&E"

About: Accident & Emergency / Injury Assessment Centre Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

My son had hurt himself in the playground at school, and when he couldn't bear weight on it after a few hours of rest and ice packs we were advised to go to A&E by our GP.

The receptionist at A&E, the triage nurse, the radiographer and especially the nurses at the injury assessment centre (Megan and Michelle) were all brilliant, everyone couldn't have been nicer. My son is 11, and they talked to him in a grown up way, making sure he understood what was happening and what would happen next, and we're funny and cheerful as they did so.

Thankfully it was nothing too serious, but I am so grateful for the staff at Ninewells today and for both the professionalism and absolute kindness shown by them all.
