Throughout my Pregnancy, I attended regular appointments with my midwife. I was reassured on each appointments and my midwife ensured I was given all information and everything was explained to me. The badger app allowed me to read up on any pregnancy info and my midwife, Catherine, was always very informative and ensured I had all information I needed.
I attended Wishaw General Maternity unit at 4cm, I was met By Tracy and welcomed, cared for and looked after by her and Donna. Later being moved to the labour ward with Lauren and a student Emma.
I was asked if I was okay with a student in the room before she arrived. Lauren chatted with me and my husband and found info out about us. What we wanted the birth to look like and explained she was follow our lead and only intervene if needed.
Lauren talked to me through the labour and encouraged my breathing and allowed me to choose what was best and to listen to my body. My labour was very controlled by and was a really good experience that felt calm and lovely. My husband and I were given time and we included in everything. All of the staff along my journey were lovely and so supportive.
