"I am very grateful for my maternity experience"

About: Maternity Care / AMU (Alongside Midwifery Unit) Maternity Care / Antenatal Maternity Care / Labour Ward Maternity Care / Maternity Ultrasound Maternity Care / Postnatal (Ward 22)

(as a service user),

Absolutely fantastic care. I had my antenatal care in the community in Lanarkshire and my community midwife was kind, informative and I felt safe and looked after in my pregnancy.

I had my scans at Hairmyres apart from one at Wishaw and the sonographers at both locations were friendly and informative.

I went into ward 23 for induction of labour and the staff were welcoming, reassuring and friendly. I felt well informed of my choices and supported.

I ended up in AMU to give birth and the staff were so lovely I couldn’t have asked for better support and care during my labour and the birth of our baby.

After my baby was born we went to ward 22 and the staff were so attentive and supportive. Everyone was kind and friendly and nothing was too much hassle. Overall I am very grateful for my maternity experience and thankful to all of the staff for their care and kindness.
