My mum was admitted to wishaw general hospital with a fractured neck of femur and sadly passed shortly after her operation. She was admitted to ward 16 where her care was carried out.
As I am working in healthcare myself I was so grateful of the care she received from all the team. She was very much looked after the way I myself would have looked after her. I would like to say thank you to Carol, Lindsay and Fiona for making my mum feel comfortable they treated her like she was their own. I am especially grateful to Lindsay, as I dressed my mum when she passed but I didn’t think of the little sentimental things such as her finger print or lock of hair.
I phoned the following day and spoke to Lindsay and she was very kind where she just chatted away made sure I was ok and family was ok. I asked Lindsay if I was too late to get this and she said no she went physically went herself to the morgue and retrieved these for me. I collected these and there was a little pocket hug also included.
I honestly can’t thank the staff enough despite being rushed off their feet with work they always have time for patients and their families. Please keep it up I am forever grateful and so is my dad.
