"Great service"

I recently attended the RBHSC Children's Heart centre with my wee boy.

Although we had waited many months to receive his review appointment which was disappointing, when we arrived for the review the service was great. 

The male receptionist was so welcoming and explained what would happen while we were there.

We then went to get his obs done - Wayne the HCA was amazing and took so much time with the wee man and managed to get a 3 year old to sit to get this all completed. He even went and got him a present as it was his birthday - this made his day (and mine).

He then had his ECHO, the room was inviting for a child and it was great that he was able to watch his favourite cartoon on the tablet. I felt the staff in the room was not over pleasant and I am unsure if they even spoke to the child only to myself. But they completed a professional job.

We then seen a senior Doctor and a Consultant who took the time to explain the finding in a way that I could understand and explained when he would need to be reviewed again.

I feel that having this service where you can get your investigations completed and speak to a Consultant/Doctor and get the results on the same day is amazing and should be offered by more services.
