About: Family Support Hubs / Family Support Hub - Hamilton

(as a parent/guardian),

I was referred to this program through the school as I have struggled for years helping my child to understand and deal with her emotions and behaviour.

The nursery also had issues with that aswell so I think this is why when they asked me, I was eager to be able to see how this would benefit me.

It's definitely benefited both me and my child together, understanding other parents' ways and how many different ways there is of parenting and helping understand your kids and things you should do and things you shouldn’t do.

Some things I was noticing I was doing but wasn’t thinking about it the way the girls were explaining it.

Thank you so much for your detailed comments not only about the group but why you had wanted to attend.

It took courage and curiosity to take part after - as you say - having struggled for years and that is a credit to you and your eagerness to get as much benefit from the experience as you could.

It was lovely to read how you felt it benefitted you and your child providing you with new ideas and approaches which you are clearly trying out and I could hear in your words how you have reflected on what you were doing and thinking before.

Feedback like this is of immense value as staff across the Hubs try and make each group as good as it can be - and ideally better each time.

May I take this opportunity to thank you again, not just for your comments but your own personal commitment in making the group a success; and to wish you all well in whatever you do in the future.
