"Zero pain relief"

I needed another hysteroscopy due to a post menopausal bleed. Having had this procedure 3 times before, I was very nervous as this is given with zero pain relief and is excruciatingly painful. Whilst the team were fantastic, it is time this procedure was delivered with pain relief such as gas and air. In the 21st century I am baffled that women are routinely put through this pain. I have a very high pain threshold and am now at the point that I will refuse to have this again without pain relief.
