I was at Douglas Street Clinic one recent morning at the bloods drop in service. The HCSW Stephanie who took my bloods was fantastic. Not only did she negotiate the different instructions from my nephrologist and dietician she was extremely skilled at finding a vein and getting the bloods. I have notoriously difficult veins to get blood from and I always feel the needle go in! This morning I felt nothing as Stephanie found a vein straight away. She was absolutely brilliant. 

Although I have bloods done often I don't like it one bit, but Stephanie made me feel at ease and was very efficient, chatting away while she was taking the bloods.
