"Thank you all for saving my life"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Renal and Transplant Services (Ward 4a, 4d) Radiology / CT Scanning University Hospital Wishaw / Urology

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with Kidney cancer a year and a half ago. From diagnosis to completion of treatment took only 3 months. NHS Scotland can not be faulted. They arranged for me to have the earliest appointments available for CT and MRI scans at hospitals outside my NHS region. The renal consultant at Wishaw General Hospital was so incredibly caring; I can’t thank him enough. He arranged for me to have a partial nephrectomy using robotic technology at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This was incredible, as it avoided me having a large wound to heal afterwards. He even contacted me personally by phone to ask how I was afterwards. This attention blew me away and I will be forever grateful.

Thank you all at NHS Scotland for saving my life and my body from scarring.
