"The support from the service has been absolutely brilliant"

I want to share my recent experience of the Health and Social Care Trust services.

I have had severe psoriasis for over 45 years and been treated by the HSC in Northern Ireland ever since. Recently my psoriasis has flared up very badly. I was given a much higher level of support from my GP Dr Hughes from Balmoral Surgery in Belfast.

In addition my Dermatology Biologic Nurse, Pamela, also carried out an urgent telephone appointment, immediately arranged for me to be prescribed much stronger medication to try and soothe or calm the psoriasis down. She also arranged for me to see the specialist Dermatology Doctor, Doctor Hoey, at the Royal Victoria Hospital. 

Dr Hoey has arranged for me to receive additional medication specifically targeted at my psoriasis. This new medication, which I will receive shortly, is known to be successful in dealing with psoriasis which flare up and should bring them under control within a matter of months.

The support from the Health Services has been absolutely brilliant over the past 45 years and resulted in enabling me to better manage my psoriasis, reduce the flare ups and itchy skin and giving me a much better life than otherwise would have been the case.

I cant thank them enough and wanted to share this opinion in this forum.
