"I should have been sent an info pack"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

I was meant to get an endoscopy I got a text message with my appointment through the NHS portal, I turned up to my appointment and was told I should have been sent an info pack with a solution I was meant to drink but I didn't receive any of this so my appointment was a waste of time and now I need to wait even longer for my surgery

Dear Gorgierules,

Thanks for your feedback regarding your recent experience in our Regional Endoscopy Unit at Queen Margaret Hospital.

I was sorry to hear that you had not received your pack containing bowel preparation for the procedure you came in for which resulted in your test not being able to be carried out.

I will feed this back to NHS Lothian who are in charge of sending out the relevant information/preparation for you to attend QMH for your actual procedure.
