"Prompt, professional service"

About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries

(as a parent/guardian),

I attended the unit  with my granddaughter, who wouldn’t weight bear after injuring her leg on her trampoline.

Albeit, the unit was quiet, we were attended to very promptly .

We met Kirsty, the nurse practitioner who was very child friendly, she carried out a comprehensive examination of the leg and reassured me that an x-ray wasn’t required and that it was probably a soft tissue injury.

Kirsty gave me a treatment plan for my granddaughter and explained we should reattend the unit if her symptoms didn’t improve over the forthcoming 2 days.

As a retired emergency nurse, I was delighted, very impressed and reassured with the prompt, professional service that my granddaughter received.

I would happily use this service again and recommend it to family and friends should they have the misfortune to require minor injuries treatment.

I’m pleased to say my granddaughter is making a rapid recovery at home following Kristy’s advice.
