"Recovery from a broken hip and partial replacement"

About: Airdrie Locality / Integrated Rehab Team

(as a service user),

I was recovering from a renal transplant which took a year to settle when I fell and broke my hip. I felt distressed that another setback had happened.

After discharge and several months of little or no progress, I was contacted by the Rehab team and was visited by Owen.

At first I didn't fully appreciate the benefits of doing the exercises etc but with encouragement from Owen I felt fitter and had increased mobility after every session. Owen was motivated to make you understand and experience the benefits.

At present I am awaiting eye surgery and have spacial and balance issues but increased ability and confidence have helped significantly in this area

Dear The Hipster, thank you very much for taking the time to post this positive feedback. Sorry to hear about your situation however I am very pleased that Owen was able to help and he motivated you to participate in exercises and, in turn helped you feel fitter and improved your mobility. I will ensure this positive message is sent to Owen and the rehabilitation team.
