"Care and treatment was excepetional"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency Royal Alexandra Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a relative),

My dad developed stroke symptoms which my mum alerted myself to. I transported my dad to RAH ED on my own. On arrival 2 lovely ED nurses had to help me transfer my dad on to a chair. They were very kind and calming and took my dad straight to triage then to resus. Within 45 minutes of my dad's symptoms occurring, he receiving a head CT and thrombolysis and within 1 hour he was in the hyper acute stroke ward.

The care and treatment my dad and our family received was exceptional and we thank all the staff involved.

Dear Lorsz97

What a frightening experience that must have been for your Dad and indeed the whole family. Thank you for sharing the care and input received from the team.

I will ensure to share with the whole team. The staff involved will immediately know who it was.

Thank you again for your kind recognition. Wishing your Dad a positive recovery.

Gerry
