About: Ridingleaze Medical Centre

(as the patient),

I telephoned the surgery at 8am and was 26 in the call. I got through at 8.20 and there were no appointments left. I was offered one in 2 weeks time. I was ringing as I have symptoms of ovarian cancer. I was eventually given a phone appointment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am very sorry to hear how stressful and worrying this situation was for you, especially when you were calling with symptoms that were causing you significant concern.

This is not the level of access or reassurance we want any of our patients to experience, particularly when they are anxious about their health.

We take feedback about our appointment system very seriously, and we would like the opportunity to look into this in more detail so we can understand what happened any identify any improvements we can make.

Thank you. I am sorry to have left a negative response because when the GP phoned me she was marvelous and arranged an appointment at a different surgery. The GP there was very good.
