I had an emergency urology appointment with the hospital saying they need to see me urgently. I had to arrange transport which is an hour away.
When I arrived I waited 2 hours to see a doctor and the examination was no more than 1 minute. I at least expected an ultrasound scan, but not even this happened.
I waited for the blood test result and told after waiting a further 2 + hours they gave me a prescription for antibiotics that I could only get from the hospital pharmacy.
After waiting a further hour I missed the last bus and had to pay £130 for a taxi. I am on benefits so this took a large chunk of my benefits. All this time and cost for a 1 minute consultation without any help regarding my condition.
Since this visit my condition has worsened greatly and been to the GP twice who has referred me again to urology but I have 2 wait 2 months before another 1-hour trip to the hospital and only to discuss the surgical options and not have the treatment I really need.
This is all due to a failed minor operation that has now been made worse. It returned just 24 hours after the operation.
The Staff at the hospital don't think about my location to the hospital and back and had to sit waiting while staff were sat at the computers laughing and joking, it's very distressing when you are in pain and not receiving the treatment you deserve.
I waited 3 years for the operation and after it failed I should be seen sooner as I called 111 and my GP who is very concerned
"Disappointment"
