"Treated with such kindness and empathy"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Dermatology

(as the patient),

I was treated with such kindness and empathy by the dermatology nurses.

Lynn was able to get blood out me first time which is rare for people to get showing her amazing skills and Julie was so kind and warm towards me, even when my skin was its worst she touched it no problem and made me feel like I wasn’t vile with my skin condition.

Dear sagttawy36

Thankyou for the positive comments and you will not be surprised to hear that we nickname Lynn, The Vampire, as she is excellent at putting patients at ease and getting their blood. Both Julie and Lynn will be delighted when I share your feedback.

Please be reassured that staff will always treat Dermatology patients with empathy and kindness as we understand how difficult it can be to show your skin with many skin conditions having a huge impact on day to day life.

I hope your skin condition responds and improves with treatment and you will not feel as apprehensive if you need to have blood taken in the future.

Best wishes

Sandra
