My partner, who had been presenting with stroke like symptoms, recently attended an outpatients clinic with Dr Brodie at Monklands Hospital. Dr Brodie with an incredible degree of care and compassion carried out a full and comprehensive examination, following which my partner was admitted into hospital.
A CT scan was carried out later that day which revealed that my partner had a brain tumour. This was subsequently removed by the neurosurgical team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Prior to her surgery, my partner was under the direct care of Dr Brodie and her medical team within the Stroke unit at Monklands hospital.
My partner and I would like to extend our great thanks to Dr Brodie for her amazing care and empathy and also for her amazing diagnostic insight which resulted in the incredibly quick screenings and medical interventions which have proved to have been lifesaving.
"Amazing diagnostic insight"
