"Fantastic service and support"

About: NHS 24 / Quit Your Way Scotland

(as the patient),

Huge thank you to Rob and team based at Glenrothes hospital for supporting me through the 12 week journey to quit smoking.

After a shaky start during week 1, Rob provided reassuring advice and I changed nicotine replacement products opting for the inhalator over the lozenges. I never looked back, and am pleased to reach the three month point as an ex smoker.

The NHS app is very good, and provides lots of motivational insight on health benefits, distraction techniques, other people's experiences and has a handy diary counting days and financial benefits.

Many thanks again for the fantastic service and support.

Dear antliaft83,

Thank you for sharing your story on Care Opinion, I am delighted to hear you have now stopped smoking for 3 months, that is a great achievement!

To assist me in sharing your lovely feedback with Rob and our colleagues at Quit Your Way Scotland, could I kindly ask you to contact me directly at Patient.Experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk including your Care Opinion username? We always strive to ensure our staff see positive feedback, as it reinforces how valued their care is when people call our services. I’m sure Rob and the team will be delighted to read your kind words.

It’s great that, in addition to the support you’ve received, you’ve also found the NHS App beneficial.

Thank you once again for sharing your story.

Best wishes,

Laura
