At 34 weeks pregnant, I attended the assessment unit in Daisy Hill as I was feeling unwell. It was discovered that I had preeclampsia. The staff were extremely efficient and did not waste any time. I was monitored extremely closely, and the next evening I was taken to the delivery suite as it was decided my baby needed to be delivered asap. I could not fault the care that I received in Daisy Hill. Everyone was fantastic. I wanted to say a special thank you to one of my midwives Aisling. The care and the support Aisling gave me during what I found a difficult time was just amazing and I will always be grateful. She is such an amazing midwife and I was lucky to have her by my side throughout it all.
Baby boy was delivered by emergency section, he weighed 4lbs, was taken to Special Care. He spent the next 15 days between SCBU and Neonatal Craigavon. The nurses in these units are absolutely fantastic in caring for these little babies. A special thank you to them all for looking after our baby boy and also our family during our time there.
