"A damaged arm after a fall"

About: Angus Community Treatment and Care Centres (CTACS) / CTACS Hub - Links HC Montrose Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries

(as the patient),

I had a fall near home and took several layers of skin off my arm which left a large skin flap. I was sent to Arbroath minor injuries who were so good and treated me with great care.

I was then referred to care and treatment centre at Montrose. From the first day I have had such good care. I saw 3 different nurses over my 6 appointments who were all fantastic. They talked me through everything that was happening and allowed me to ask questions.

The care was 5 star and I would like to thank them all for the care they gave me

I'm sorry to hear that you had a fall that caused a large skin flap wound to your arm. This can be very painful and very distressing for the patient. Its so nice to read that the care you received both in the minor injuries unit in Arbroath and the CTAC service in Montrose was so good and staff treated you with great care.

I hope the wound is healing well and you are able to get back to your normal activities. Staff know how important it is for patients to ask question and for robust information to be shared. This allows the patient to feel confident and comfortable with the treatment given, Its great to know that staff took time to go over all this with you

I will pass on your lovely post to the staff in the minor injury service and I'm sure our colleagues in CTAC will also be delighted to know the care was 5 star.
