Overall I think stars is a good place to retrieve support from, in my personal experience I suffer with a lot of panick attacks amongst other mental health problems, however STARS is a place I feel comfortable in, I've actually never had a panick attack whilst visiting this place unlike a lot of other places and it's good to point that out for anyone else that suffers the way I do.
STARS also allows a place called Betterways run from the building, I attend betterways twice a week and again because I'm used to this building and staff and surroundings I'm also able to attend these meetings without the fear of having a panick attack, I have gotten to no a few of the staff both at STARS and also Betterways, overall they are all good people, not to pushy but understanding of my needs.
My key worker Jenny is very fair and helpful at the same time and has supported me on and off for over a couple of years now, the only problem I could point out is a couple of uncancelled appointments wich has been annoying at the time however I've always had an apology with an explanation given so all in all I would recommend this place to anyone suffering with any kind of drug or alcohol problems, But don't forget guys there is only so much they can do, if you don't want to help yourself it's quite hard for these guys to also help you. Although they will still try regardless.
