I had misplaced my husband's time for an ultrasound at Victoria Infirmary was a Telephone appointment so no letter but I had written it somewhere but unsure if 10am or 12 so on phone through switchboard to at 8.30 to find out as if 10am would need to leave at 9am.
Two calls each time asked for Imaging Dept got disconnected as put through .Third time an operator said hold on not sure the desk is open yet but I explained about previous 2 calls from her colleagues and getting near time we would need to move as didn't want to either miss appointment or be late.
This operator apologized said hold on give me your husband's details you stay on line I will come back to you. And she did with the time being 12 noon so that was fine. Was very impressed at the way she dealt with my issue. I think the text reminder to patients about upcoming appointments is a very good tool to be used, and don't think many without mobiles these days even older patients. Too many missed appointments which affects the service and creates complaints on waiting lists to be seen.
Very impressed also with desk reception staff at Imaging Dept at Victoria and of course the delivery of the service of the medical staff to patients is delivered very efficiently ,professional and friendly.
So Well Done All 🏴NHS, the appointment went very well and I did find the written appointment time ( much later ) on the back of my Aldi till receipt 🤭
"Efficient, professional and friendly"
