"For me, this was the NHS at its very best"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Ambulatory Care University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Ward 4)

(as the patient),

I attended the SACU recently, after being referred by my GP.  I had an infected cyst, which had not responded to 2 weeks of antibiotics.

I was quickly seen by Surgeon and talked through options. I opted for a local anaesthetic as recovery would be quicker.  I arrived in the unit at 1pm and was discharged at 4pm.

I just want say a huge thank you to the staff for the care I received.  For me, this was the NHS at its very best -  wonderful care, support and a prompt successful outcome.

Dear aurigash37,

Thank you for sharing your experience at University Hospital Monklands, SACU and Day Surgery.

I am delighted to hear that you were well looked after when having a cyst removed. It must have been very reassuring for you.

I look forward to sharing your kind words with the whole team who I am sure will get a real boost in hearing your lovely feedback.

I hope you are keeping well.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
