I received a phone call from Glena, (ASW), about my aunt being moved from her care home to the Gillis Memory Centre, Bluestone. Glena was very informative throughout my aunt’s move to and arrival at the Gillis Centre. This was reassuring to both my sister and to me.

Follow up calls from Glena (ASW), kept us up to date with any developments re my aunt and a meeting with the medical team dealing with my aunt was for a 6 days after her admission. We found this meeting very informative and the team explained the steps that they were taking to ensure my aunt received the best care possible.

At that meeting, we felt listened to and were promised any queries we had would be addressed. Indeed this proved to be the case, Glena (ASW) arranged a meeting with a social worker to discuss how my aunt would be paying for her care and set up a phone call with Community Advice.

We are very pleased and grateful to Glena (ASW), the medical team and the staff in the Gillis Centre.
