"Wait time for prescription"

About: Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) / Castle Mey Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

So after given the allclear by the doctors, my disabled daughter, who had been brought in the evening before after having a massive seizure was waiting to go home. She's only 9 years old and non verbal.

The pharmacy told my wife that she would do the prescription at 1.00 pm ish. After hours of waiting around and my daughter getting more and more agitated the extremely helpful nurses tried in vain to get intouch with the pharmacy, but yet no avail. After 4 or so hours of trying to get in touch with them it turns out the staff member had left early and hadn't done the prescription.

All credit to the nurses they managed to get someone who had finished for the day to come and do the prescription for us. All credit to the nurses and the pharmacist who came in their own time and done the prescription for us, otherwise my wife and daughter would have had to stay in another night until the prescription was done the following day.

Can't thank the nurses enough,
