"The staff here are all lovely and friendly"

About: Cancer Services / Radiotherapy

(as a service user),

For me travelling is a bit of a problem. I live in Arbroath and don't drive so I rely on friends and family to bring me in for my treatment. This takes about an hour door to door - I find it's a lot of travel for a 15 min appointment.

There is an empty hospital in Arbroath - it would be great if this could be used for cancer treatment?

The staff here are all lovely and friendly and I can't think of any improvements that could be made. My appointment schedule is good - I come at approximately the same time each day, which suits me fine.

Dear leopardqs53, my name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who would have welcomed you to our Radiotherapy Department. Thank you for providing feedback of your experience in our department, which is really valuable.

I am glad that your appointment schedule suited your preferences and that our staff have made you feel comfortable through their friendliness. I will pass on your kind words to them, thank you.

I understand that it would make life so much easier to have the treatment department closer to home for you in Arbroath, and patients all over the NHS Tayside area. Thankfully you are blessed with friends and family members who were happy to help. For our part, it is really gratifying to hear that you can’t think of any improvements.

On behalf of everyone here, I hope you benefit from your treatments and wish you well for the future.

Kind regards... Bob
