"Amazing labour experience"

About: Maternity Care / Labour Ward Maternity Care / Maternity Triage Maternity Care / Postnatal (Ward 22)

(as the patient),

I recently gave birth to my baby boy, & the midwives and students in Wishaw were incredible.

Everyone we had an experience with was excellent, the girls in triage were brilliant, making both me and my boyfriend feel at ease.

When we came back in due to my contractions getting worse the girls on the nightshift again were brilliant.

Francesca & Kirsty were our midwives on the labour ward and they were beyond amazing. We honestly can’t thank you enough for everything.

They both walked me through labour, helping me get over the worst of the contractions & keeping us all at ease. Even when it came time for the dr to come in as things weren’t progressing they were amazing and made me feel a million times more at ease.

All the staff in the theatre room were brilliant as well - we all had a wee laugh with each other and it was so chilled. The

anaesthesiologist talked me through everything from start to finish

They tried to turn baby manually and with foreceps but unfortunately baby wasn’t cooperating.

Within 5 minutes baby was out via c section & the surgeons kept us updated with what was going on throughout the whole time.

When we were moved into postnatal the staff again were all lovely, & Mary was so helpful with helping get baby to latch & giving me tips on how to hand express in the mean time

The midwives & drs in wishaw were all amazing & definitely don’t get enough praise - thank you so much.

Dear slideqp47,

Again congratulations and enjoy your little bundle of joy.

Kindest Wishes
