"Long wait for follow up"

About: Talking Therapies Rotherham

(as a service user),

Had assessment at start of June and was told they would phone me on following Monday or Tuesday. Heard nothing . I phoned after nearly 3 weeks, no answer, left message. No reply. Phoned again a couple of days later and was told person who was dealing with it had been off then taken annual leave. They are now scheduled to phone at the start of July,  which will be after the follow up appointment by primary care mental health and one month since initial assessment.

Morning columbarj35,

Thank you for letting us know about this. Firstly, I would like to apologise, it sounds like something has gone really wrong here with the clinician assuring you they would call on the Mon/Tues and then not doing so. And with us not calling you back when you left a message with admin. I'm so sorry you've had to chase us to try and get some information on the next steps in your care, that shouldn't have happened.

If you're able to, please could you ring the office and leave your details and ask for Faye to give you a call? I'm the Clinical Lead, and if you leave your name/date of birth I'll be able to check your record and find out what's been going on. I can give you a call this week to give you an update (I'm on leave 2/7 and 3/7, but can call you on Friday).

Thanks for feeding this back, it helps me to know when something has gone wrong and I would appreciate the opportunity to try and put it right if you're happy to get in touch. I can't see any of your details from this website so unfortunately I can't ring you directly.
