"Support and empathy during miscarriage"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Edinburgh Fertility Centre Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Maternity Care Services

(as a service user),

I have unfortunately frequented the EPU many times in the last couple of weeks due to having experienced a missed miscarriage. Every single visit myself and my partner have felt comforted by the friendly staff that make an extremely difficult time a bit easier for us.

They were supportive, had empathy and answered any questions we had. We felt we were treated with care and ultimately respect for us and our pregnancy that had ended. We were given a scan photo and a memory box and appropriate referrals were made for us for the future.

Thank you to all. I’d like to particularly mention Jade the nurse who was there for pretty much all of our visits and was very kind. Also Kirby the midwife and Lisa the charge nurse who were also amazing.

Thank you so much guys.. and as we said we hope in the nicest way possible we never see you again!!

Dear Maz 724

Thank you for taking time and sharing your kind feedback with us, especially when you have been through a such a sad time.

I have passed this on to the team in the Pregnancy Support Centre.

Kind regards

Pauline
