Last June/July I was in Dumfries Hospital for a wee bit with an infected gallbladder and gallstones. From then I've suffered and told I'd be put on the waiting list for the keyhole operation to remove my gallbladder.
I've since had quite a few flare ups, but this has been the worst since. I was in Stranraer A&E twice in chronic pain and all they could do was manage my pain and sent me home with oramorph to manage pain at home, as they had spoke to the surgical team and I wouldn't be an emergency operation.
I have already had my pre-op about 4 months ago and have heard nothing from the hospital or my doctor about a surgery at any point soon. I have had another flare up in my work and it's disrupting not only my sleep but also my work life now.
I've no idea where to go with this as I feel like I'm stuck between a rock & a hard place, I don't want to be on continuous pain medication to help me through but at this point in time I've no choice.
