"very bad duty of care to my mother"

About: North Manchester General Hospital

my mother is 85 the treatment she has received on H3 Ward and H4 appalling by the doctors. Admitted 5 times in approx. two weeks without proper treatment until I pressed the consultant Friday just gone with the ward manager present. My mother never received tests for COPD or CCF although presenting with breathlessness. Now after meeting with the consultant the relevant tests are being carried out why has this taken five admissions and not carried out on the first admission. On the first admission my mother was sent home without any antibiotics even though x-ray abnormal and she apparently had a very severe chest infection. Because the lack of duty of care North Manchester General Hospital gave my mother I feel her symptoms would not have been as serious. The treatment she received in A+E were very good but on the wards were appalling. I am very unhappy with the treatment she has received.
