"Birth of son"

About: Maternity / Emergency Obstetric Unit Maternity / Home from Home Maternity / Labour Ward / Delivery Suite Maternity / Maternity Ward The Ulster Hospital / Neonatal

(as the patient),

We recently gave birth to our son at the Ulster Hospital and we are beyond grateful for the fantastic care we received.

From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff was attentive, kind, and genuinely supportive. The birth of our son was not straightforward but the staff’s professionalism was matched only by their warmth — we felt completely safe and well cared for and constantly reassured during our week long stay at the hospital.

All members of staff in each of EOU, Home from Home, Labour Ward, NICU and the Maternity Ward (all of which we experienced!) worked seamlessly as a team, always available when we needed them, and incredibly thoughtful in every interaction. They took the time to explain everything clearly, checked in on us regularly without ever being intrusive, and made sure we were comfortable and all our questions were answered.

What stood out the most was the human touch — everyone had a smile, a kind word, and a calming presence. They didn’t just provide excellent medical care; they gave us a sense of calm and confidence.

We’re truly grateful for the exceptional care we received. We can’t thank you enough.
