I fell and broke the ball of my left hip joint which was speedily replaced at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Operation went well and I have been recovering ever since.
Staff are good or very good but the ward is chronically understaffed and while doing something the existing staff are constantly being moved to do something else. This of course has a knock on effect for the patients. This is not the fault of the staff but rather of the system.
The two members of the Physio team both in practical exercises and communication were excellent.
Communication between staff and patients could be improved generally.
