The staff at my appointment were kind friendly and patient. I was there for sometime due to an administrative issue.
However there was one staff member, whose name badge was not clearly on display as I looked for it. This staff member was rude, bossy, sarcastic and I feel genuinely mean to patients and other staff. Patients noticed and communicated between ourselves about it but the staff member was so short tempered and rude no one felt in a position to speak.
I hope that a manager identifies this behaviour as it brings down the appearance of the whole service markedly and would also be a very unpleasant environment to work in.
The whole mood shifted as soon as this staff member left. I work in healthcare and I was shocked. There are ‘be kind’ posters up - but sometimes it's staff who need to understand their impact on others.
