"A&E at its Worst"

About: University Hospital Aintree

Attended A&E 08/12/2024, received excellent assessment from Doctor but she informed me that she would have to pass me to a colleague as her shift was finished, all tests carried out as per her instructions, had to have blood test repeated and it totally went downhill from there. Repeat blood test taken approximately 5.30pm this being just about 5/6 hours in A&E, no complaints so far. 7.30pm seen me questioning reception as to where I was in queue, answer not known their information was still awaiting test result. Disappointed as blood test results had been on decent turn around during afternoon, at that point resignation to situation has to be accepted, shine from earlier excellence is taken away. 9.30pm approach to reception to question my position in queue is met with total dishonesty, left the premises at approximately 10.00pm having been informed by unknown staff member that I could go home, you've been here long enough, your blood test results ok, no need for you to stay in hospital, all from 'top of the head' dishonesty, mention of district nurse qualifying top of the head dishonesty. Have many reasons to give praise to all NHS in Merseyside but when giving dishonesty a major role you know our future will always be filled with angst.
