"The doctors don't seem to care"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a relative),

I am writing this experience which I had with my mum during an appointment at her medical practice.

I called for an appointment for my mum to see the GP. The GP we saw we felt did not look into what my mum was asking. When we first went in the GP asked what we think is wrong. My mum and myself do not have medical degrees which qualifies us in self diagnosing.

Getting a GP appointment is difficult enough never mind being asked what you think the problem is.

After this the GP then stated the dry patches of skin and discolouration on her neck/chest is common in people with blonde hair.

My mum has put off for weeks calling the doctors as it is hard enough to get an appointment but the doctors don’t seem to care.

Hi the girl everyone knew,

Thank you for sharing your experience of your GP Practice.

I am sorry to hear the service did not meet yours and your mum's expectations.

GP surgeries are independent contractors and as such, are not registered to respond on Care Opinion but are responsible for investigating any feedback or concerns about their service. Please could I invite you to contact the practice manager so they can investigate your concerns about the staff member.

Kind Regards,

Craig
