I was diagnosed with throat cancer in February 2024. I attended Mr Black ENT. The care I have been receiving from him and his team is of the highest quality.
I was subsequently referred to Dr Houghton, oncologist in BCH, who arranged my ongoing treatment. The care I am receiving there is also of the highest quality, This applies to everyone in the unit from nursing staff, radiologists, admin staff and especially Dr Houghton. This unit is absolutely amazing and is organised totally in the interest of the patient so that their cancer journey is made as easy as possible to deal with.
I also had to avail of the Endoscopic Unit in RVH. Once again the care I received was wonderful. The pre assessment nurse Susan was extremely helpful and reassuring and the whole team in the department including Honey the lead nurse was amazing. I received a copy of my report immediately and it was sent to my GP on the same day. The care and expertise that all these clinicians give are of the highest quality.
My cancer journey has still some way to go but I feel confident that I will continue to receive the wonderful care from the clinicians I have had the good fortune to meet, who give daily to their patients attending for treatment.
"The care and expertise are of the highest quality"
