"Staff couldn't have made our experience any better."

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Daisy Paediatric Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Enhanced Care / GP out of hours

(as a parent/guardian),

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the lovely staff at daisy hill hospital. I took my 4 month old baby to out of hours on Thursday evening as he had been suffering with temperatures and mottled skin, the doctor in our of hours was amazing with him and took the time to look over my son and refer him on to a&e. We got to a&e and the triage nurses were both so lovely and brought us round to children's a&e who were so helpful and patient with us and took the time to ensure my son got the care he needed. They also checked that my husband and me were both okay. We were then admitted and taken up to the daisy children's ward where the staff were amazing. So caring and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Any parents worst nightmare is ending up in hospital with your child but I have to say the hospital staff couldn't have made our experience any better. Thankyou so much to daisy hill staff for everything!

Hello Mumxb35

Thankyou for taking the time to share your experience with us on the Daisy Ward. It is great to hear you have had such a positive experience during what must have been a very stressful time for both you and your husband. I am delighted to read that the staff on the ward looked after your child and yourselves showing care and compassion for you all.

I will be sure to share your feedback with the wider team who I am sure will be delighted.

I hope your child is continuing to improve and I wish your family well.

Regards

Ciara

Good Morning,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care you received through Urgent (GP) Out of Hours.

We are delighted that your experience has been a positive one. It is great to hear that the doctor was amazing with your son whilst assessing him and that he was referred onto A+E appropriately. We are so privileged to have a job where we can care for people and make a difference.

I will ensure that the doctor on this night is aware of your lovely feedback - they will be delighted. I will also ensure the rest team are aware of your kind words - we really appreciate them.

Wishing your son a very speedy recovery.

Thank you again and Best Wishes, Patricia.
