"I can't thank them enough"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a relative),

My partner was recently admitted with bacterial meningitis. After a spell in A&E and HDU she was eventually transferred to ICU. She was unconscious for most of her time there and the doctors were initially very pessimistic about her potential outcomes. I'm very glad to say that she had made a remarkable recovery, still has a little way to go but is communicating and moving around almost just as she used to. The professionalism, care and good humour that ALL the medical staff displayed during her time in ICU really was exemplary and I am owe them a huge debt of gratitude. It was said to me near the start of this that ICU can work miracles and in our case it certainly seems like thats the case. I can't thank them enough.

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback on your care experience your partner received whilst in ICU. It is lovely to receive such positive comments which I will feedback to the whole team.

It is wonderful news that partner has continued to recover well from her illness and on behalf of all the ICU staff, we wish her well for the future

Kind regards
